Scientific and Environmental Solutions for Water
Hardwater Scale or Limescale:
- Is a major contributor to significantly higher energy bills.
- Is a major cause of expensive equipment failure.
- Results in the need for additional costly maintenance.
- Harbours harmful bacteria.
- Renders taps, sinks, showers and baths with an unsightly, and difficult to remove residue.
Independently Tested and Approved
WRAS Approved
The Water Regulatory Approval Scheme (WRAS) is a Government Laboratory that ensures all products that come into contact with potable (drinking) water are safe to do so. WRAS undertakes extensive testing to ensure any device does not alter or contaminate the water in anyway that would make it undrinkable.
The ACP carries full WRAS approval.
As the ACP takes nothing from the water, healthy minerals are not removed. As a conditioner, unlike traditional water softeners, the ACP adds no harmful sodium.
Government Backing
The ACP was developed with the support of government funding over a number of years. Each phase of its development required testing and proof of concept in order to release each tranche of funds.
Independently Tested
The ACP is one of the very few water conditioners that has undergone true, independent testing which verified its performance.
Analysis by The University Of Surrey found in excess of a 5-fold reduction in scale build-up within heated water systems.
They concluded that the ACP technology prevents over 80% of limescale formation.

Limescale Danger Areas Within the UK
The hard water map of the British mainland shows that the majority of the UK population live in hard water or very hard water areas. Where’s your business and where do you live? If you live or work in any of the shaded areas limescale will be costing you money and reducing the life of your equipment.
Energy Wastage Caused by Limescale
Calcite limescale is a poor conductor of heat. Scale that forms inside pipework requires more heat which increases energy bills. The Carbon Trust have published that 1mm of scale will increase energy demand by 7%. In hard water areas this will form in the first year. Subsequent cumulative energy losses due to scale are likely to be 12% in year 2 and 16% in year 3.
Increase in Energy Costs Per Year
(Even ignoring energy inflation the following table shows the cumulative savings that can be made by using ACP Technology)
Annual Energy Costs | Increased Energy Costs Due to Limescale | Cummulative Savings Over 3 Years |

---|---|---|---|---|
1 Year | 2 Years | 3 Years | ||
Small House (£1.5k) | £1,605 | £1,680 | £1,725 | £510 |
